Learn tips and techniques for hiring the right staff for your teamThis workshop is designed to inspire you to develop, enhance and refine your skill and confidence with all aspects of hiring staff. These specifically designed interviewing and hiring techniques for manager will assist you to more competently select and appoint top talent and ultimately increase the retention of new recruits in your team.

Who Should Attend the ‘Interviewing and Hiring Techniques for Managers’ Workshop?

This workshop is applicable for all managers (new and experienced) who are involved in the interview and selection process.

What to Expect When Attending an iMastery Workshop

Workshop Learning Objectives:

This workshop has been specifically designed to provide your managers with practical tools and to assist them to learn about and/or be reminded of:

» The competencies, tools, information and clarity a manager needs in order to be an excellent recruiter

» How to determine what needs to be assessed at interview and how to separate the essential skills and requirements from the desirable ones

» How to prepare for the recruitment and selection process

» How to conduct professional face-to-face interviews and conversationally and lawfully probe to learn more about a candidate’s experiences, thoughts and feelings without giving bias to the answers

» How to use behavioural interviewing techniques

» What to do after the interview and how to evaluate candidates’ answers against legitimate job requirements

» How to select top talent for your job vacancies and prepare for their start.

Format & Duration

A four or six-hour workshop inclusive of facilitator-led discussion, practical activities and role-plays. All participants receive a comprehensive workbook inclusive of comprehensive interview guides, interview questions, checklists and practical tips. The workshop can be fully customised to dovetail with your organisation’s recruitment procedures and policies.

The workshop operates well with 6–16 participants. This size allows for individual participant’s questions to be answered and for the workshop to be interactive, conversational and fun.
