Delegating is often cited as our number one tool as managers. The more we delegate, the more we are freed from the trap of ‘doing’ versus ‘managing’. This workshop explores the reasons why we should delegate, how to delegate, the implications of not delegating as well as the types of work and responsibilities that should not be delegated.

This workshop will assist you and your managers to learn and/or be reminded of how to:
» Apply the delegation theory to the real world and benefit from practical tips

» Prepare prior to delegating and understand why this is vital to success
»Communicate the quality and standards you expect in the work you delegate
» Follow up without micro-managing staff
» Delegate so as to ultimately save time and be free to do more strategic tasks
» Use Outlook Tasks to delegate so as to save time, reduce stress and increase accountability (if your organisation uses Outlook as its email software)
» Understand what tasks to delegate and what tasks not to delegate.
Format & Duration
A four-hour workshop inclusive of facilitator-led discussion, practical activities and role-plays. All participants receive a comprehensive workbook inclusive of checklists and practical tips.
The workshop operates well with 6–16 participants. This size allows for individual participant’s questions to be answered and for the workshop to be interactive, conversational and fun.
